But what makes SpiderControl so unique?
With SpiderControl, the user standardises the HMI development and integrates all related tasks, so that he can significantly reduce his engineering effort in the project business.
This means that SpiderControl can be used to implement any type of HMI project – from local operation on an operator panel to a complex control system – and that the SpiderControl web server is available on almost any operating system and also on many PLCs.
The HMI Editor 8 brings many new functionalities for a modern HMI design and has also been noticeably improved in its usability.
All functions for creating an HMI project are summarised as an interactive flowchart in the so-called ‘Start Page’, in which both the HMI design and the configuration of recipes, user rights and languages are summarised.
The driver configuration has been simplified and, especially for OPC UA, a browser function has been integrated that allows direct connection to an OPC UA server – e.g. a PLC – browsing the name spaces and importing the desired variables directly into the project. This function independently finds the PLC variables in the OPC namespace in the ‘Browse Path’, but can also resolve the variables on a node-ID basis if required… and much more…
