Less engineering effort in the project business
SpiderControl provides a tool that covers all HMI requirements: We standardize HMI development and integrate all associated tasks. This allows you to reduce the engineering effort in the project business, increase your profitability and concentrate on your core competence in the control of machines and systems.
In building automation in particular, we achieve unparalleled efficiency in engineering and maintenance by combining SAIA, WAGO or Beckhoff controllers with SpiderControl.
HMI library objects: Use existing macros from PLC manufacturers, from SpiderControl or develop your own libraries. These macros can connect directly to structures: You do not have to link each individual variable, but the variable list is searched for the appropriate structures.
Project size - from small to very large:Small projects fit directly onto the web server of a PLC. With SBC, this is possible with the standard product; for Wago, Beckhoff, SABO and many more, SpiderControl offers a web server/SCADA server directly for installation on the PLC, with direct access to the local PLC. For larger projects with several PLCs, there is the SCADA server (GLT) - also available on the PLCs mentioned or on an IPC under Linux, Windows, Android and as a Docker component.
No matter which PLC, always the same tool: Use the same SpiderControl HMI on different PLCs.
All important fieldbus protocols already included: Modbus, BACnet, OPC UA and many more.
Clients Unlimited: You can use any HTML5 browser as a client (without restrictions). As a big plus, SpiderControl also offers the cost-effective and extremely easy-to-configure MicroBrowser touch panels.
Import from the programming tools of PLC manufacturers:
For example, with SBC Controls:
- Symbolic variable names, for example, can be imported directly from the SY5 file of the SAIA project and used in the HMI project. The SCADA server communicates via the PLC's cgi-bin interface, which ensures high performance and requires no additional driver protocols.
- The alarms and trends automatically configured in PG5 or optionally in the DDC suite are imported from the four PLCs into the SpiderControl SCADA project, where they can be integrated into a central overview of the entire plant.
- SpiderControl provides SVG vector graphics for typical system components such as pumps and valves, which can be used in modern and scalable user interfaces.

- The SpiderControl HMI Editor is compatible with the SAIA S-Web Editor, for example, which simplifies the import of existing S-Web HMIs into a SpiderControl project and reduces the development effort - a great advantage for retrofit projects.

- SAIA's own macros from the S-Web Editor in particular can be imported with little effort and reused in the SpiderControl HMI Editor so that project planning can be continued in the familiar “SAIA style”.
- The system can be operated either via an HTML5 browser on a PC, smartphone or tablet or via the MicroBrowser touch panel in the control cabinet. The MicroBrowser is characterized by a cost-effective, durable and low-power design and requires no additional engineering - only the URL needs to be set in the panel. MicroBrowser-enabled devices are available from various manufacturers.
- This innovative SCADA product multiplies customer benefits enormously. Existing functionalities, e.g. in the control level, can be reused quickly and easily.

Or WAGO:
- Import of the variable list via OPC UA Browser or from CODESYS
- Import of legacy HMI from CODESYS V2.3 and conversion to HTML5
- Use of WAGO BA libraries, e.g. scheduler
Or Beckhoff:
- Import of the variable list via TPY file
- Import of legacy HMI from CODESYS V2.3 and conversion to HTML5
- Use of Beckhoff TF8040 libraries
SpiderControl product highlights for building automation:
SpiderControl SCADA server as IPC installation via WAGO WBM interface, for PFC100/200/300
SCADA/GLT server on IPC for larger projects
Extremely fast local communication via DirectVarAccess (instead of OPC UA)
E.g. smaller BMS with 3 to 5 PLCs and central data storage on a master PLC
Product information for WAGO can be found here.
You can find a tutorial on WAGO here.
SpiderControl SCADA Server on all Beckhoff PLCs as binary (except CX700), for all OS: WinCE, Win10/11, openBSD, Linux
TC3 compatible, multicore, multi PLC, direct fast data connection via ADS
E.g. smaller BMS with 3-5 PLCs and central data storage on a master PLC
Local high-performance HMI clients on the PLC (panel PLC or HDMI connection) via Microbrowser
Product information for Beckhoff can be found here.
A tutorial for Beckhoff can be found here.
